In news which will surprise precisely nobody, Tammy “Sunny” Sytch has been arrested yet again. In news which will surprise a lot of people: Yes, she’s still alive.....for now.

Didn't consider this at the time, but Grandmaster Sexay's death made him the first person to appear on an NXT supercard to die. However, as his sole appearance came at the now forgotten "NXT Arrival" rather than one of the more recognised "NXT Takeover" events, he does have an asterisk by his name. Some good candidates to be first to go from an NXT Takeover proper though: the aforementioned Enzo Amore and Paige are never going to make 40, plus there's the batshit insane likes of Austin Aries and Simon Gotch, the suicide risk of Big Cass, actually-wrestled-one-month-after-brain-tumour-surgery Jushin Liger or Kassisus Ohno could finally Mr Creosote himself.

-          Howard Finkel (1950) – Legendary ring announcer, now “very seriously ill” according to Jerry Lawler. Unconfirmed serious stroke complications.

Has apparently suffered a second massive stroke and is now in a very bad way.

Would never have pegged Harley as first of the 4 1970s aces living (Race, Flair, both Funks) to go. Still hasn't mind you.

According to the headlines, he has gone from "really, really bad health" in July 2018, to "very poor health" now.  Sounds like he is getting better to me, but not much is actually being said.

In an update on Race’s health, David Marquez of Championship Wrestling From Hollywood took to Twitter today and reported that the lung cancer is not terminal. Marquez received the update from Race’s family, adding that Race remains very active with the World League Wrestling promotion and school that he runs in Missouri.

Marquez wrote, “I’ve just spoke to Harley Race’s family and yes he has been diagnosed with Lung Cancer but it’s not terminal. He’s being treated and supervised by his doctors. He is still very active in @worldleaguewlw and appreciates everyone’s concerns.”

Territory era worker Roger Kirby dead at 79. Another one of the ersatz "Nature Boy" wrestlers of the 1970s, he had some big runs, particularly in the Central States where he won tag gold with the likes of Harley Race, Les Thatcher and Alfred Hayes.

Kōji Kitao, the bad boy of sumo who was banned from the sport after his stable refused to work with him (and he allegedly slapped his boss's wife), dead at 55. He then moved to professional wrestling, perhaps most notably in a match against fellow sumo alum Earthquake in which he decided it should be a shoot instead.

Some complete psychopath attacked bret hart at the hall of fame. Attacking a 60+ year old man , a cancer survivor and stroke survivor from behind is pretty low.
