Pretty cool Doc about the murder of Bruise Brody released over the weekend,of note for Deadpooling purposes is Abdullah The  looks and sounds better then one would expect given his age and health status.  Superstar Billy Graham is gonna have to hold on a few more years if he wants to dance on his grave.

Kamala in dire financial straits.  Facing foreclosure, same as Paul Orndorff last year.  GoFundMe set up by former WWF wrestler B Brian Blair, tweeted out by Ted DiBiase.  Talks a bit about his health.

An apparently notable wrestler named Vampiro has Alzheimer's disease:

Canadian-born, known to his parents as Ian Hodgkinson.  Attended a screening of a documentary on him some years ago.  Spent most of his career in Mexico.  The doc showed the fanaticism of Lucha Libre in Mexico and the dangers he faced working there.

Former WWF wrestler The Berzerker arrested for DUI and public endangerment.

One of those names I expect to show up at any time as DOA in this thread tbh.

If anyone remembers the Mighty John Quinn, a work colleague had returned from Canada (being a war refugee). He knew John QUinn and his family. He said they were all big guys, but John QUinn was a qualified meterologist...it didn't gel with his "in-ring" persona.

Surely one of the few men to draw sellout crowds on top against both Bruno Sammartino and Big Daddy? Anyway, John Quinn is dead at 78.

Video of his final moments. This is perhaps the worst refereeing in wrestling history and probably a court case waiting to happen.

Did you just suggest the refereeing is real?

Going through that court document in greater detail - I posted skimmed over details a few weeks/months back.

Since it was posted in 2015, 5 of the 50 wrestlers named on it have died: Jimmy Snuka, Chavo Sr, Axl Rotten, Ron Bass and Timothy Well.

Here are the main issues they were said to be facing:

1.       Jimmy Snuka – neurological problems, dizziness, headaches, depression, mood swings, loss of memory, confusion, post-concussion syndrome

2.       Chavo Guerrero sr – headaches, dizziness, loss of memory, fatigue

3.       Axl Rotten – headaches, dizziness, loss of memory

4.       Ron Bass – neurological, headaches, dizziness, loss of memory, sleeping problems, fatigue

5.       Timothy Well – headaches, dizziness, loss of memory, suicidal, fatigue

With that in mind, I had a scan for similar issues among the living 45, or multiple of the above issues, which brought up 36! So here are the main folk in that case, with their health issues as claimed. 5 in a year, so it's likely that around 15 of this list will die in the next three years on that form. I've asterisked those who will get DDP obits with no worry. The lawsuit will fail (there's too many discrepancies in it, plus it relies on Vince McMahon knowing all about concussions in the 1970s and 80s when no one else did, and hiding the information from the world) but most of these people are probably fucked.

1.       *Road Warrior Animal – headaches, dizziness, loss of memory, fatigue

2.       *Paul Orndorff – confusion, headaches, dizziness, severe loss of memory, fatigue, easily confused, repeats himself constantly, paranoid (yeah, hes got CTE) EDIT - since confirmed.

3.       Ahmed Johnson – headaches, severe loss of memory, under care of a neurologist

4.       *Kamala – headaches, dizziness, loss of memory, fatigue, plus depressed and legless

5.       Earl Hebner – headaches, dizziness, loss of memory, fatigue, neurological injuries and cognitive difficulties

6.       Dave Hebner – headaches, dizziness, loss of memory, fatigue, dementia, Parkinsons

7.       *King Kong Bundy – neurological issues, cognitive difficulties, headaches, dizziness, loss of memory, nerve issues

8.       Ken Patera – headaches, dizziness, loss of memory, fatigue

9.       *Sabu – Severe neurological injuries, headaches, loss of memory

10.   Barry Darsow – constant headaches, severe loss of memory

11.   Bill Eadie – Headaches, dizziness, loss of memory, fatigue

12.   *The Berzerker – headaches, dizziness, loss of memory, fatigue

13.   Johnny the Bull – headaches, dizziness, loss of memory, fatigue

14.   Mike Enos – dizziness, loss of memory, fatigue

15.   Butch Reed – headaches, dizziness, loss of memory, insomnia, fatigue

16.   Jazz – headaches, dizziness, loss of memory

17.   Slyvain Grenier – severe migraines, loss of sensation in right arm, dizziness, loss of memory

18.   Don Leo Jonathan – headaches, dizziness, loss of memory (which might be to do with being 86!)

19.   Shane Douglas – neurological issues, headaches, dizziness, loss of memory, fatigue

20.   *Mohammed Hassan – headaches, dizziness, loss of memory, fatigue

21.   Henry Godwinn – headaches, dizziness, loss of memory, fatigue

22.   Judy Martin – headaches, loss of memory,

23.   Mark Jindrak – headaches, dizziness, loss of memory, fatigue

24.   *Marty Jannetty – black outs, unaware of surroundings, headaches, dizziness, loss of memory, fatigue, no  health insurance

25.   Heidenreich – headaches, dizziness, loss of memory, fatigue, suicidal, congestive heart failure, confined to bed, no health insurance

26.   The Warlord – headaches, dizziness, loss of memory, fatigue

27.   The Barbarian – headaches, dizziness, loss of consciousness, loss of memory, fatigue

28.   Rip Oliver – headaches, dizziness, loss of memory, insomnia, fatigue, Alzheimer’s

29.   Tracy Smothers – headaches, dizziness, acute short term loss of memory

30.   Mantaur – headaches, dizziness, loss of memory, fatigue, painkiller addiction, no feeling in arms or fingers

31.   Black Bart – headaches, dizziness, severe loss of memory, involuntary movement, heart problems

32.   *Slick – headaches, dizziness, loss of memory, insomnia, diabetes

33.   *One Man Gang – headaches, dizziness, loss of memory, fatigue, neck and back injuries

34.   Jimmy Jack Funk – headaches, dizziness, loss of memory, fatigue

35.   Rodney Mack – headaches, dizziness, loss of memory, fatigue

36.   Boris Zhukov – migraines, insomnia, hearing loss, dizziness, loss of memory, works as a truck driver (well, that’s reassuring to know)

My bad as I completely ignored Massaro on this list.

Quote

Additionally, Massaro suffered from numerous untreated head injuries, and currently suffers from CTE symptoms, including but not limited to depression, for which she takes medication; migraine headaches; and severe short-term memory loss.

8 down in 3 years. I thoroughly recommend this sad list to deadpoolers, and promptly suggest Mr Wonderful Paul Orndorff, Jon Heidenreich and Ahmed Johnson as worthy DDP picks. More so than Year 1 ALS folk.

Court doc here.

Cancelled my subscription to wwe network months ago. Saving money yes but mainly out of principle. Getting into the wrestling business is a mugs game. Throwing you body to the ground 100s of times a week for a shit salary and having to pay for you own travel and hotels lol what type of carnival scam is this? Ok big stars don't but they don't really need that because they're recieving millions already.WWE only spends 8% to 9% of their entire revenue of stars salaries and that includes the mcmahons and HHH on screen salaries.

Many of those stars that never make it or used for a few years then shat out of the wwe machine are left messed up. Painkiller addictions from the permanent damage done to their bodies, brains and mind. They get no healthcare and the wwe enslaves their talent who want out of contracts. They're human circus animals. Wrestling a full time schedule for a year is like going through 100s of car crashes for 200k a year ?minus tax, hotels and travel left with less than 40 grand for 300+ days hard hard work. Hope the uproar of jeremy kyle / reality TV will make its way to WWE. Many many dead wrestlers under 50 even under 40. Now they're receiving massive amounts of blood money from saudi arabia instead of pissing it down the XFL toilet how about paying wrestlers health insurance, doubling all the poorly paid wrestlers wages and giving them an off season/ or wrestlers a period of recovery. The WWE has enough wrestlers to rotate one week on / off etc. Fuck the mcmahons the greedy cunts they have blood on their hands.

I wonder how Marty Jannetty is doin....

Marty Jannetty blames 3 relatively recent black people's deaths for his 30+ years of alcoholism.

To misquote Bill Hicks: Owen dead, Perfect dead, Bam Bam dead, Bruno dead, Dusty dead, Jannetty alive. Wrong fucking choice.

We don't tend to get birthdays noted in here, because folk die before they become notable.

However the craziest man on the planet and greatest pro-wrestler of all time (imo), Terry Funk, is now 75! :birthday:

Terry_Funk_September_2013.jpg

Despite still wrestling in his 70s, despite the time he was accidentally set on fire, despite the time a bomb destroyed the ring he was wrestling in, despite suddenly deciding to try moonsaults (backwards 360 degree leaps) at the age of 55, despite being one of the best technical wrestlers of the 70s and deciding he could do 90s deathmatches better than all the kids, and despite all the talk of poor health in the last few years.

Will hopefully be a while yet before we're picking up deadpool points off The Funker.

On another note, that Viceland Dark Side of the Ring series interviewed Abdullah the Butcher. The walker to get about was known about, but the gasping for air between sentences points him close to the final 3 count. Somehow, he has made it to 78.

One of the most notable Todd "The Bod" Fulkerson has had a Go Fund Me for medical expenses and recently Pornhub donated a new car to him.  The guy is 400+ pounds and is in and out of the hospital, given their is an article about him in Forbes he might be one of those fringe superfan names who scrape's an Obit down the line

Perro Aguayo (Sr.), A legendary luchador who held several titles across several different territories/promotions including the WWE (then WWF) - has died aged 73.

The name may be familiar as his son, Perro Aguayo Jr. died in a tragic in-ring accident involving Rey Mysterio Jr. in 2015 aged 35.
