New edition of that December list of oldest professional wrestlers/wrestling personalities as there's been a few deaths since I sent it.

I don't have an exact birth date, but according to this French language article from January 2022, Len 'Kojak' Shelley was 81 at the time it was written. Presuming Shelley is now 82, he was likely born in 1940.

Dory Funk Jr. - Born 1941 (82)

Whatever happened to Stevie Richards recently, it doesn't look good.

I was reading something about this yesterday. Apparently some sort of long-term spinal issue which has flared up recently.

81-year-old Thunderbolt Patterson made a quite rare public appearance at some event a few days ago (with Abdullah the Butcher) looks a bit frail:

This dude collects ailments like they’re Pokémon. Can’t help but wonder which one will finish him off.

Tbh this is the first time I actually feel like this might be it for Superstar. At the very least they seem like actual health issues and not him overreacting for stubbing a toe or something

A Google for “Barrett Lunde” threw up a picture of him in prison orange from a few years ago. I’m guessing that he’s had some issues over the years.

On a brighter note, Jerry Lawler is back home in Memphis.

RIP Jeff Gaylord, 80s/90s territory wrestler.

https://slamwrestling.net/index.php/2023/03/15/jeff-gaylord-dead-at-64/

He was one of the "Knights" at Survivor Series 1993.

A replacement for Terry Funk (may have been around the time he had a sick horse). In 2001 he robbed a bank, and then he got caught when a few months later, he robbed the same bank with his own car. His excuse in court was "personal financial hardship" - it didn't work. On release from jail, he then robbed another bank and went back to jail. He was also blacklisted for a bit after beating up Eddie Gilbert for real, as a hit job for another promoter.

Being made of 100% hard drugs for most of his life, its a miracle he made it to 64. His family claim in his last few years he was focused on charity, providing Winter clothing to the poor and homeless of Denver.

Catching up on the last series of Dark Side of the Ring. There's a doc about Luna Vachon and her stepdad Paul Vachon (a renowned pro-wrestler) shows up, struggling to breath and talk. To be frank, he's not going to be around in 18 months time.

18 months would be April 2023, he's almost made it - but it's doubtful he can make much more:

Hospitalised for a tumor in his skull, memory issues, etc...

Black Bart - meant to be on his way out since 2015 though

Black Bart managed to survive his heart issues and his post concussion syndrome, but the jury's out on if he'll last much longer with adding metastatic Stage IV colon and liver cancer to his ailments. :skull:
