Roy Clark (the former Hee Haw host and country guitarist, not the British sitcom writer), dead at 85.

That’s huge news over here.  RIP.  Truly admired by anyone over 45.

The Reaper wants as much Work as he can get.

A rising country music singer from Texas has died after a reported accidental shooting that happened with a gun that was being used as a music video prop.
Justin Carter recently signed a deal with Triple Threat Management, which didn't offer many details about the musician's death.
"Justin had a potential to, you know, in our eyes, and a lot of people's eyes to be the next Garth Brooks," said a spokesman for Triple Threat.
A gun that was going to be used for a music video shoot was the same one that ultimately killed Carter at his apartment.

There were rumours that she suffered a mild stroke towards the end of last year. But comments that were posted from fellow musicians were quickly removed from Facebook.

One came from someone who knows Wanda quite well and is a neighbour of hers. But since her husband passed away a year or so ago, her health has taken a bit of a hit.

Not sure if she'll still do some recording, but she's definitely retired from touring, and her scheduled appearances for Viva Las Vegas next month and the Nashville Boogie have been canceled.
