I haven't visited for a while but I would like to put forward the following for 2016:

Anne Buydens followed closely by husband Kirk Douglas

Roy Hudd

Gerald Harper

Barry Gibb

*fingers crossed*

Why? None of these people are dead. If you meant to put it in the possibilities thread, why Barry Gibb?

Havelange is now in his 100th year. Surely he won't make it to 2017, especially with his recent health problems?

These are my forecasts for 2016. I put Barry in because he's the eldest Gibb who hasn't died - my wild card.

Do we know which discipline he will be competing in? :duck:

I don't know. But I can guess he would make a pretty good gymnast.

Good thing they're held in Brazil.

Looks to me as if the press here is using their pre-written obituaries as a birthday note.

Hmm... maybe he'll die soon after the Olympics. Them being held in his home country might be the only thing keeping him going.

He's been hospitalized with pneumonia.

I doubt he will survive this, he's 100 years old and pneumonia is a common cause of death between the elderly people.

he planned that before he got pneumonia so I don't think that's an indicator of rather or not he survives.

He's in stable condition, pneumonia doesn't mean shit for immortals. I reckon he's still gonna show up at the Olympics.

Stable just means not likely to die imminently in his case.Wasn`t Muhammad Ali "stable" a day or two before he died? Havelange has had a long history of breathing problems. If he gets over this case of pneumonia it will just re occur in the not too distant future. He is 100 years old has had severe arthritis a history of respiratory issues.Has also had heart problems in the past and now has pneumonia. Not looking good. :pop:
