Garn2 34 Posted July 9, 2010 Pretty bleak interview from Seve in the Telegraph today. "You know, for everything in life, there is always a beginning and there is always an end. This is the tough part, the most difficult thing, when you see that it's coming: the end."

Lard Bazaar 3,800 Posted July 9, 2010 Pretty bleak interview from Seve in the Telegraph today. "You know, for everything in life, there is always a beginning and there is always an end. This is the tough part, the most difficult thing, when you see that it's coming: the end." This comment is quite aptly timed for me - as I mentioned earlier in the thread, my sister had the same sort of illness the year before Seve - she had radio and chemo and two huge operations - she discovered two months ago that the tumour has returned, and has been having chemo which has not worked, so is likely to have more surgery imminently. So I think 'delaying the inevitable' was accurate, unfortunately.

I bet you when he goes, it'll be a piece of piss getting his body to the church but it will be a fecker getting him into the grave!
Terminator 13 Posted July 9, 2010 I bet you when he goes, it'll be a piece of piss getting his body to the church but it will be a fecker getting him into the grave! May I suggest a giant golf club? He could simply be putted into the hole.

Death Watch Beatle 41 Posted July 14, 2010 Perhaps some passing Americans will spoil things by shouting "Get In The Hole!" like they usually do. DWB
Rotten Ali 600 Posted September 29, 2010 Seve took part in a build-up "motivational" 10 minute long phone call with the Ryder Cup European team players yesterday. Not that that tells us much other than he can still use a phone and actually talk! Best comment about this was he was described as "still recovering". http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/golf/9043458.stm

Grim Up North 3,727 Posted May 6, 2011 Hard to believe reading the article on the July 10 post that he was not included in the Death List for this year. The article states he felt like he was already on the 12th hole - seems like he's played the last 6 holes quicker than he thought. Sad. Wonder if they'll scatter his ashes on 17th green at Old Course or even better into the sand in the road hole bunker - then if you got the ball out on the green you could say something about a little bit of Sevvy magic and would actually be true.
