Polish artist Eugeniusz Waniek has died at the age of 103.

The centenarians seems to be dropping fast this month... Levi-Strauss and Niemeyer are hanging on in there though... perhaps having their names on DL gives them something to live for...

R.I.P. Karl Mullen

Following the recent heroic exploits of their modern-day counterparts, it's sad to see that Dr. Karl Mullen, who captained the Irish to their first ever grand slam in 1948, has died at the age of 82.

Levi-Strauss will live forever, you know. He's the one passing the immortality information to Clive Dunn.

Instead of admitting your mistake, you should have a month-long hissy fit about having it pointed out to you. That's the mature thing to do.

I'm horrified. I chose Greg Page the yellow "Wiggle" from the childrens TV show, but my team name was put under the boxer. I emailed OoO and pointed out the mistake and he changed my pick for me. Boxer dies, Wiggle turns out to not even be sick anymore.

Dancer and choreographer Frankie Manning has died of pneumonia at the age of 94... I was going to put him on my DDP team as well but I had fears as to whether he'd get an brit obit or not.

Yes, I really think I am having a thin year - my aim is at least 15 out 50 by the end of the year, so by rights I should have had 5 hits already. Can't think why Dai, Jade & Tony Hart were not on my list when I put up at the front of the year!

Lennon......not a patch on the uke compared to his Beatlemate George. Harrison's last album is dripping in uke sounds, and George was a massive fan of George Formby. He even joined the Formby Society.

Me too, although I guess I always knew I was cursed - now I know why.

I do need to say, though, that George Formby was a curse all on his very own! There have been, and still are, many great ukulele players out there who are/were so much more skilled than GF, and not nearly so annoying.

You forgot to add Tiny Tim and George Harrison to that list

... not a good week for former international rugby captains: Pringle Fisher, who earned 25 caps for Scotland in the '60s and captained them on 9 occasions has died aged 70.

Let's hope Zach Condon has some life in him yet.

Ol' Tappy Tapia has beaten the odds and (thus far) lived to the ripe old age of 101.
