Book 3,559 Posted April 30, 2013 Pauline von Mallinckrodt (June 3, 1817 – 30 April 1881) was the German foundress of the Sisters of Christian Charity. The Kindergarten I was in had a tiny relic of one of her bones (from the thigh or maybe the pelvic, can’t remember). As a child I was fascinated by that tiny piece of bone in a framework on the wall in the little chapel next to the Kindergarten... oh those memories... Book 3,559 Posted May 3, 2013 Iconic and tragic diva Dalida committed suicide on May 3, 1987 at age 54. She was a singer and actress who performed and recorded in more than 10 languages including: French, Arabic, Italian, Greek, German, English, Japanese, Hebrew, Dutch and Spanish. One of her best known songs is probably “Am Tag als der Regen kam” (German version of “The day the rains came”), which was a No.1 hit in Germany for 10 weeks in the summer of 1959. His wiki page http://en.wikipedia..../Justin_Fashanu Pretty much covers the worst of it though it revisions the yank episode in a "better" light than most. Lived in Edinburgh when he was there......a lot more to it than ever came out. Being black and gay 30 years ago meant you were either rascist or homophobic if you said he was a raping cunt. He was, and long afore he crossed the pond.

Toast 16,155 Posted May 4, 2013 Jeffrey Miller, arguably the most famous corpse of the 20th century, died today in 1970 aged 20. I'm arguing, because I'd never seen that photo before, and had never heard of this incident. When you say "most famous corpse", do you mean where there's been a photo of said corpse in the public domain? Either way, I'd say JFK is way more famous.
