"I love yelling. It feels good and it's good for you. That's why Sam Kinison lived so long."

Vonnegut had a wonderfully mean-spirited FOX obituary:

This pissed off a lot of folk I know at the time, but hey, when I saw it, I thought: man, they really hate this guy. I need to read his stuff NOW!

And, it's great. So it goes!

Slaughterhouse Five is the standout, but Timequake, Man without a Country, etc, all recommended.

25 years since Surrey cricketer Stuart Surridge was dismissed aged 74.

Surridge%20Tuck%20PC.jpg

He was Captain for 5 years (1952 - 1956), during  which Surrey won the County Championship every season (and the two following, under Peter May). He was one of Wisden's cricketers of the year in 1953.

Post-retirement, he was the Surrey CCC chairman in 1981, and ran the eponymous cricket-bat maker, who's factory he was visiting when he collapsed and died.

Edwin Valero: 27 fights, 27 wins by knockout. Unfortunately the most important punches he ever landed were the ones he beat his wife to death with in 2010. He hung himself in prison the following day, 19 April 2010..
