I must say he defended himself well at Nuremberg despite being dead for over a year! :P

Not unless '*2 years' means 'I was 2 years out'. 1946 was 74 years ago.

One shot said that I was a year out, I was actually 2 years out as he died in 1946 (which was 74 years ago).

Long story short my dyslexia has failed me yet again.

No, I said that he did a great job of defending himself at the Nuremberg Trials (20th November 45 to 1st October 46) despite being dead for over a year. I didn't say how much you were out just jokingly pointed out your mistake.

I think you're taking it all too literally. Baring in mind that the timeline would've been different if he died in 44 then he might've been potentially captured at this point. Either way, to avoid overthink, I'll just state that I stand corrected. :)

I tried explaining the distinction between bear and bare to someone the other day when they were corrected on this.

To bear = To carry

To bare = To reveal

They replied “Yeah, but I’m revealing what should be kept in mind”

I just sighed and shook my head.

Popular depictions of Titanic sinking tend to demonise him; when looking for a more nuanced look on his life, I'd suggest reading "How To Survive The Titanic Or The Sinking Of J. Bruce Ismay" by Frances Wilson.

King John got bad press. The monks who wrote the histories were pissed at him because he got the whole country excommunicated. He also took the flack for his brother's expensive Wars whilst he was regent. At least he lived in the country. Richard the Lionheart spent less than a year of his ten year reign in England
