That would be John Paul Stevens, who's currently 98. He retired in 2010, only a short time after he turned 90.

Oliver Wendell Holmes was a few months older than Stevens at age of retirement (though Stevens has the longest lifespan overall).

I can`t see her making 90 and don`t think she will be able to carry on working much longer. She can barely hold her head up and looks like she is about to fall asleep.

She needs to retire. Just delaying the inevitable Trump will win a second term. She ain't holding out until 2025.

He's uncomfortable in his own skin.
Whatever you think I meant by that, I meant.

"Currently no further treatment is planned".

In other words: the doctors think that she's not healthy enough to get through a chemotherapy.

The cancer was caught early though, so not like she would need the chemo right now anyhow. However, if the cancer returns, that would be a different story...

Also not the proverbial kick in the arse off 86. I'd tag her as a good shout for not seeing 2020.

If she was indeed formerly married to Douglas Bader, a "kick in the arse "she could not expect.

Ironically, those recent broken ribs may have saved her life.  The timing of this would suggest they found the tumors when they x-rayed her following her recent fall.

I just wrote 2020 next to her name.  So feel free to grab her and prove me wrong.  Had this happened 6 months ago maybe.  Fact is she just received extreme and complete medical attention here mid Dec, so I give her 12 months clean bill of health along with recovery.
