Oliver Wendell Holmes was a few months older than Stevens at age of retirement (though Stevens has the longest lifespan overall).

Sean 6,337 Posted November 8, 2018 I can`t see her making 90 and don`t think she will be able to carry on working much longer. She can barely hold her head up and looks like she is about to fall asleep.

If she was indeed formerly married to Douglas Bader, a "kick in the arse "she could not expect.
Skinny kiltrunner 553 Posted December 21, 2018 Ironically, those recent broken ribs may have saved her life. The timing of this would suggest they found the tumors when they x-rayed her following her recent fall.
Sir Creep 7,070 Posted December 21, 2018 I just wrote 2020 next to her name. So feel free to grab her and prove me wrong. Had this happened 6 months ago maybe. Fact is she just received extreme and complete medical attention here mid Dec, so I give her 12 months clean bill of health along with recovery. Cmon Reaper PROVE ME WRONG SC
MadMac 98 Posted December 22, 2018 Per Wikipedia, two previous bouts with cancer (colon and pancreatic) in 1999 and 2009 respectively. I stand by her not seeing 2020.
