alt obits guy 3,371 Posted June 30, 2022 Jim Pappin, who played over 750 NHL games combined, from 1963-64 through 1976-77 combined with Toronto, Chicago, California and Cleveland, collecting two Stanley Cups along the way, has died. He was 82. Pappin's two championships came with the Maple Leafs earlier in his career but spent the bulk of his time with the Black Hawks (as the team name was spelled, at the time). Dryden played a single game for the New York Rangers in 1961-62, then played parts of three seasons with the Chicago Black Hawks in the 2nd half of the 60s, before spending four seasons with the Buffalo Sabres in the early 1970s. He would spend five years in the WHA, mostly with the Edmonton Oilers and remained with Edmonton for their first NHL season in 1979-80.
