Until 1985 probably in Dutch, as that was where she was from. (Not everybody is English or American :) ).

I always loved how the Dutch voice cast of the Smurfs had some minor Dutch celebrities in it... so was the voice of brainy smurf done by the late Frans van Dusschoten who was a straight man for the "comedian" André van Duin and was he the voice of Meneer de Uil in the puppetshow De Fabeltjeskrant and Gargamel was voiced by Paul van Gorcum who would later play the villainous Baron in the children's show Bassie & Adriaan.

Oh man!! The world famous Bassie & Adriaan. They were like the A-team and Michael Knight in one dynamic duo.

Susan Sheridan, the voice of Noddy and also Trillian in THHGTTG, 68. https://twitter.com/DirkMaggs/status/630270340040630272

Edit: BBC: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-33841383

and very sad it makes me too.

I really thought Stephen Moore would be the next THHGTTG cast member to go.

Has anyone interviewed Big Ears to see how he's taking the news?

Haruko Kato, Japanese actress who is probably best known as the voice of Madam Suliman (IMDB has Sariman) in Howl's Moving Castle, has died at 92. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2015-11-05/howl-moving-castle-voice-actress-haruko-kato-passes-away/.95024

Stage, TV and film, also signed with Toho, but as that thread is more Godzilla based, she fits better here.

Report here of the death at 93 of Arthur Anderson, voice of Lucky The Leprechaun for Lucky Charms cereal, on 9 April. http://monsterkidclassichorrorforum.yuku.com/topic/63148/Arthur-Anderson-Mercury-Player#.VwvGiOT2bNM

Given the theme of the DDP team that picked him, I'm adding him into the round up as I'm assuming that's the guy.

Use this moment to appreciate the fact, given he started out in radio, the guy's Wiki page includes the line "from serials to cereals".

Hearts, Moons, Stars, Clovers.

And Caskets.

Here's his work from 1972:

For voice actors from that era, June Foray's a big one that's still around... probably the only big one.

Does Janet 'Penelope Pitstop/Judy Jetson' Waldo count as a big one? She's 85 according to wiki and 91 on imdb. I wonder if she's done the wild thing with Peter Perfect yet.

Awwww

RIP

So wait she was in her late 40s and 50s doing a teenager voice?

An aside, unlike 90% of the recent additions I like the cut of your jib CoffinLodger. Keep up the good work.
