Lord Fellatio Nelson 6,219 Posted February 25, 2019 Music. A recent report stated ( it was denied) that Radio 2 was going to move away from anything that was made before the 80s. My local radio station has a golden shower hour which barely gets outside of the 90s onwards. Music was obviously shit in the decades before...... We still have classical music stations. Nobody listens to Radio 1. Work that lot out.
charon 4,943 Posted February 25, 2019 Pretty much always thought R2 was R1 from 10-15 years previously. The dj's move over and take their old playlists with them.

Then it moved on, in a good way. It's real bollocks, it has been proven that the biggest buyers of music have been over 40 but we are seen as irrelevant, fuck, it seems to be a theme in life at the mo, everything is our fault, we are destroying the planet, leaving the young nothing and, and ,and... It's all gone a bit rotten.
charon 4,943 Posted February 25, 2019 Yip, but you gotta remember the 40 something's now were the R1 crowd 15-25 years ago, and the music was gash, so R2 now reflects them more than us dinosaurs. Get on to Planet Rock or some such (is Atlantic 252 still around?) or you'll be talk stations like me afore you know it.

I'm finding myself listening to Radio 4 and local BBC radio in the mornings such is the utter gash that is on elsewhere. Nice to see the Beeb give Zoe Ball the breakfast gig. Tick the box, fuck the talent.
Toast 16,144 Posted February 25, 2019 I never listen to the radio. Inane chatter sends me into a rage.
Lord Fellatio Nelson 6,219 Posted February 25, 2019 Olivia Coleman. Local news is all over her like a fucking rash, Norfolk born and bred as she is. I have to draw the line at the 'local girl from Holt has done good' shite when the local girl is a privately educated, ex Cambridge tutored middle class lass who really isn't one of 'us' at all. It is highly unlikely that she had a Saturday job at Primark in Fakenham or summat.

To make matters worse, they seem to be in everything. Do feel free to list the faces that annoy you.

It was only today that I realised she bears a slight resemblance to my mother in her younger days.

Touted as the next James Bond but just as likely to be a contestant in this years Mr Punyverse or summat. Wasn't he the chap who couldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding but managed to get rid of soap scum and the like with new and improved Flash? I could have sworn it was him in that advert.
Lord Fellatio Nelson 6,219 Posted March 3, 2019 The news is reporting that Corbyn was hit by an egg thrown at him while he attended an open day visit to a Mosque in North London. Why the fuck couldn't they have thrown an anvil at the c**t or, at the very least, a club hammer. FFS!!!!
Lord Fellatio Nelson 6,219 Posted March 5, 2019 It has come to my attention that Phillip Schofield has dual nationality. He is both British and a New Zealander, apparently. What half of him is what has not been specified. This is brilliant news. We can all demand that the UK Government strip him of his British citizenship. He is a smug, talentless ( Gordon the Gopher had all the talent) prick who should be removed from this country IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!!!!

TQR 14,400 Posted March 5, 2019 Today is the 2nd day of me being manager of my section at work. And what do I do? Destroy my lower back helping with some machine maintenance. I'm hobbling like Rolf Harris after shower time with Nigerian Derek in prison. Sauvignon Blanc and Co-Codamol is on the menu this evening. Fuck pancakes. Toast 16,144 Posted March 20, 2019 One of the annual ordeals is safely behind me today. That being the first mowing of the lawn (which makes it sound much tidier than it is). Conditions have been just what you don't want - mild temperatures with frequent rain - so it had started to grow apace and ugly tufts had sprouted everywhere. The mower, ratcheted up to highest level, eventually agreed to start, and once away was obliging. Not a vast amount of clippings to dispose of, which is lucky as our cunty council is now charging us to collect garden waste and I have declined to pay for the green bins to be emptied. So into the black bin it went, ready for collection tomorrow. Impeccable timing. Hopefully the bastards will be voted out in May.
