As long as they use a lot of them, the kind doesn’t matter to me.

They're actually giving people a choice between the firing squad, lethal injection or the electric chair. Why not let them name any method of execution they want? So if someone asked, they could be trampled to death by an elephant, thrown off the top of a high building, or have a lighted stick of dynamite put up their bum?

Having them read all of your DL posts would do the trick, but we try to avoid cruel and unusual punishments.

Have been waiting a long time to use this in order to celebrate the end of Rodney Alcala!  Yippi!
He murdered a young girl Robin Samsoe, age 12, who was from my mother`s neighborhood in Huntington Beach, California many years ago. Glad he is gone!

Glad to know I'm not the only person who has connections to serial killer victims. My uncle lived in Seattle for a good number of years and knew family members of Green River Killer Gary Ridgway's victim Patricia Barczak(died at the age of 19 in 1986).

Speaking of Gary Ridgway, he is still alive in prison and is now 72 years old and there have not been any updates on his status for years. Hopefully soon enough the grim reaper decides to strike him.

There is a nice memorial plaque for Robin Samsoe at the beginning of the Huntington Beach Pier. I stop at it and say a prayer for her everytime we visit California. She was murdered in 1979 and Alcala got to live until now. Terrible.

The last I heard about Ridgeway is that they think they are able to link him with several more unsolved murders. The monster is still alive.

Veijo Baltzar, Finnish Romani author, cultural counsellor and artist will likely be sentenced to 10 years in prison for human trafficking (kept women and girls as prisoners in his house)

He'll be around 89 in ten years so he'll probably die in jail.

https://www.is.fi/kotimaa/art-2000008077455.html

Document about him coming soon:

https://www.is.fi/kotimaa/art-2000008138061.html

Says that he didn't do anything wrong, blames the country for being racist and doesn't want to die behind bars, saying that it would "give the future generations a bad picture of Finland if the national writer died behind bars"

Lots of notable politicans who knew him interviewed, including the formerly corpse-like Paavo Lipponen, former president Tarja Halonen and veteran politician Liisa Jaakonsaari, Jaakonsaari being the youngest of these (76 later this year).

Lipponen defends himself and praises Baltzar for being a "good writer" and an "activist", Halonen defends himself and Jaakonsaari says she has been a fool.

Jailed australian rapist Mustafa Kayirici, 31, supposedly only has a few months left to live:

https://www.smh.com.au/national/nsw/time-not-on-my-side-jailed-rapist-dying-of-cancer-court-told-20210804-p58fvb.html

He was described by the Daily Mail as a "face-tattoed serial sex monster" and "ice addict" in 2020.

Edit: Seems he's 31 years old now.
