OK so it will soon be time to thin-out the carry-over names into next year. With a maximum of 25 names to be carried over into next year - I'll open this thread for the top brass to mull-over. All 5 of these chaps are without a single vote between them from us on the big question "who will be the next person to die".

It wouldn't surprise me if ALL the above saw New Year's Day 2011. albeit with one or two - like Lamotta - in need of a nappy change at midnight.

They're all just old people that could die in 2010, but there's nothing in particular to suggest that they will, so it's really just a roll of the die. I suspect of the five, at least one will die sometime next year, and it wouldn't surprise me if all of them were alive on January 1, 2011 or if all of them were dead, except maybe Christopher Lee. In any case, the point of this is that there's nothing in particular to suggest that any will die, and it shouldn't take much effort to think of 50 people more likely to die than they, so I see no reason to keep them on, even if one or two will probably not see 2011. If the DL is going to take a chance, it should take a chance on people who have something other than age going for them as a reason to have them on the DL.

Honestly, of the five, save BB King. He's the only one I do know for sure is battling health problems. He's been ill for quite some time (including diabetes, etc.).

 

The rest are old, but old age itself is generally not enough for me to include in next year's death list. Unless they have known underlying health issues that could expedite their deaths, people who are on the death list on the basis of old age alone are not good cnadidates, imho.
