So after 3 months of a drought, we now have 3 hits in a week with today's the biggest of the year so far! Now we're cooking on gas!

Poor Grim (our version). "Slow year,  not needed to update the front page in ages, I'll just go offline for a few days, what can possibly happen?"

Wow, Didn't expect a third hit this week.

Didn't get a breaking news tweet from any of the breaking news accounts of BBC, Sky News, LBC or the Mirror. I wonder who else on the list wouldn't get at least one of them.

There is a Telegraph obit, but you have to register to see it all.

BBC website has nothing about the death of prize-winning author, however it does have stories on the deaths of 'Internet sensation' grumpy cat and a blonde former WWE wrestler and playboy cover girl with large breasts. Skewed priorities?

Maybe the BBC updates its obits once a day or less frequently after 18h00 UTC. Ashley Massaro's death was reported 14 hours ago, Grumpy Cat died on Tuesday. The BBC website posted Gillian Lynne's obituary nine hours after I read on Twitter about her passing.

For some time now the BBC news page has been becoming more like a low-rent magazine.

FFS - BBC's omission on this is a sorry lapse. Not bemoaning the coverage of Grumpy Cat but...

Still so sign of Wouk

The Guardian aren't running the story either. I suspect that they're both awaiting confirmation from a verified source before running the story.
