‘American-Japanese’ meaning he hadn’t the talent to compete with Americans so as The Vapors said Turning Japanese - I say hey whatever works.  But let’s call it what it is.  Enjoy the 5 national titles.  I’m sure you’d have been a Burmese figure skater if Japan hadn’t worked out.  ‘Chris Reed’ sounds about as Burmese as it does Asian.

Just announced, Dutch short tracker Lara van Ruijven lost her battle against a freak auto-immune illness. She won a bronze medal at the Pyeongchang Olympics.

 

Only 27 years old...

Ekaterina Alexandrovskaya, a Russian-born figure skating pairs athlete who represented Australia in the 2018 Winter Olympics, has died. She was 20. Alexandrovskaya died after either falling from, or jumping out of, a window.
