China lost two of its brightest minds today.

Agronomist Yuan Longping, who developed hybrid rice in the 70s and was considered a national hero, died at 90. Yesterday rumours of death began to circulated, but where dispelled by the hospital, which said Yuan was however "not in a good way". He died this morning of multiple organ failure. He was quite well last year as I recall he was put in a committee to fight COVID.

Surgeon Wu Mengchao has died at 98. Considered the father of hepatobiliary surgery in China, he was operating until 2018. After his retirement his health quickly declined and he was hospitalized last October with multiple health issues, which prompted me to pick him in Arghton's One for Country Game, now defunct. According to reports he spent the last months bedridden watching Tom & Jerry. Despite his conditions being irreversible he never lost his optimism.

For 25.99 he could have had another 12 months protection.

If it turns out he has been done in by Prince Philip the CIA, can I get a refund on my "Livesafe" software?

With a quick search, seems like he wasn't really talked about here but he was a fucking mess (in many ways) got into some kind of trouble every year and the only things I'm suprised about was that it was so sudden and that it was a suicide.

He used drugs, had problems with the police, took a ton of risks and probably had a lot of enemies.

McAfee seems like the kind of guy who desperately wants to be murdered as part of some goverment conspiracy. Unfortunately for him, nobody cared enough so he had to do it himself.
