Rodelio Aglibot, a popular Chicago chef known for his friendliness and charm as well as his culinary talent, died Saturday of cardiac arrest following an apparent heart attack on Friday. He was 52.

His death does not appear to be related to Covid-19. (IT'S SAD THEY FELT IT NECESS TO ADD THIS)

According to a report in The Chicago Tribune, Aglibot was in Cincinnati on Friday working on a location of E+O Kitchen, an Asian-Latin concept, and planning to open two additional locations in Columbus, Ohio.

Yeah, just watching this now. I swing between thinking I've picked him a year too early to thinking he's a goner in 2020. Could go down to the wire.

It’s interesting. Right now he does look like he’ll see out the year, but then I think many of us thought that Michael Robinson and Sam Lloyd seemed very stable too. And look what happened with them. I think his chances of becoming a hit is dependent on when his immunotherapy fails. Though that isn’t right now...

Scans for Tim Bilton show that it’s still working for now. Although was it known the immunotherapy he was taking is only palliative? Makes me think whenever the treatment does stop working he’ll go extremely quick...

Add Cecilia Chiang to the list of people who look far too good for their age. She's 99:

Not good enough to make it another 17 months though, as she's died aged 100.

A strapline referring to an old  advert.

"Michel: PAPA!"

(Yes I know it was Nicole, poetic licence!).

Or

"In Roux-ed Health."

Seriously - no one made a pun on Roux’s name?

Good thing there isn’t a chef Jim Mustard or summat - just post his obit and nothing more.

Lame people around here.
