Best version I could find.

Sadly, the full splendour of Franco's moustache isn't fully realised. Are those flared leather trousers?

Is the non dead bloke David van Day?

Nicole Josy ( half of Nicole & Hugo, Belgium 1973) has died aged 76.

Article is in Dutch. She was supposed to perform for Belgium in 1971 too but she had jaundice.

Flemish, not Dutch.

Sad news. Baby Baby is a Eurovision classic. Those purple jumpsuits!

Norway 1980 entrant Mattis Hætta dead aged 63.  He was the gnome-like Sami singer who wanders on stage all "yo yo yo'dy yo'dy yo yo" half-way through the song.

Infamous song - this is sad news indeed.

Clip is always trotted out in Eurovish shows. Contrary to popular belief, not last that year. Anyway for those who don't know...

Heddy Lester (wiki), Dutch singer and actress, dead at 72.

Represented The Netherlands in 1977 with "De mallemolen" ("The Merry-Go-Round").

Finished 12th out of 18 entries.

Unusually, Heddy Lester got a Daily Express obit. If we are in an era when "the 'Vish" stars get obits, I'm all for it, but I'm guessing with the handover ceremony due, this came coincidentally.

Mid table East European stuff - could have come from Azerbaijan or Albania.

Even out of the context of the other participants, this would struggle to get out of a semi-final. As we will already be in the final - this is a piss poor effort. Doubt it will be bottom, but nowhere near top ten.

Loreen is representing Sweden again with this song and seems to be a very popular contender.

Germany may get more than 10 points with this song or it could fail.

I'll definitely vote a couple of times for Finland. Is there any competition?

Judge for yourself as we all have different music tastes. I have linked playlist to the official Eurovision Youtube channel for those who have got a music video. But I would rather judge based on the semi finals and final because they are actually performing and not relying on autotune and more than 6 people on stage.

Ireland seem quirky and got a rock edge.

Laurita Valenzuela has died aged 92. Obit (In Spanish).

Crossposting as she hosted the 1969 contest which famously ended in a four way tie including Lulu as one of the winners.
