Until earlier this year when @Death Impends pointed out my error, I thought Ray Jay Johnson was a Simpsons joke about dull US TV comics, not an actual real life act they were spoofing on!

Wait, this is odd: the guy (who was a massive deal on American TV in the 70s) died over a month ago, had a very brief obit published in a local newspaper, and there's been absolutely no follow-up since?

Aaarrgghh I randomly put Bill Saluga on my home DP LAST year, dropped him this year.  I was 100% certain I also had him on 2022 DDP team but I just looked and it’s a no go.  It’s maddening, find a random name and in the end get nothing for it.

Various reports emerging on the Twittlesphere that George Logan aka Dr Evadne Hinge of Hinge and Bracket, has died:

A DDP pick under the Evadne Hinge moniker.

Awaiting the usuals.

Looks like a Lily, Edna and Evadne  hat trick in less than two months then. R.I.P.

RIP Dr Evadne Hinge. Off to join Dame Hilda in the corner of Heaven that will always be Stackton Tressel.

Sad news. Loved Hinge & Bracket as a kid and it's a Big regret of mine that I never got round to seeing them when thry regularly played Leeds City Varieties.

It's not been a good few months for much-loved drag characters.

A true "how the fuck is he still alive" figure, seemed to never stop having heart attacks. Also for ages (possibly still?) his Wikipedia page was written by his son who hates him.

Pat Cooper, who was the Italian-American version of Don Rickles, dead at 93. DDP List of the Missed. I dropped him as I didn’t think he’d get a UK obit.

Funny Stop Comedy Club co-owner Boutros Youssef "Pete" Barakat, 65, has died, leaving a host of comedians sad but thankful for his help in starting their careers.

Born in Abdelly, Lebanon, Barakat came to the United States in 1979. He died on Tuesday.

Nick Kostis opened the club in 1985 as Hilarities in Cuyahoga Falls. Barakat and his brother, Tannous, bought it in 2000.

Infinity!

Seriously, this sucks.  Pee-wee's Big Adventure came out when I was in grade school, and it was a huge favorite immediately.  And it is still a fun re-watch even today.  He was a unique talent and will be missed.  Thanks for the memories, Mr. Reubens.
