Not to say I am heavily sleep deprived, but earlier I saw Spade's comment, but not YW's news post above. Not quite as astounding timing, then!

Rather strangely I did the exact same thing! Couldn't believe that someone had mentioned how ill he was a few hours before his death was announced......then saw the posts above Spade's...........

Still, that makes Mort Sahl that last of this breed of new sick outrageous comedians still living:

Interesting this says 'Erwin' Corey, we've all said Irwin Corey.  Were we wrong, did it change, was this story wrong?  What gives!?

Fucking hell, do they film Benidorm on top of an asbestos landfill?

I'll always remember him for being the main guest star in the last episode of Last of the Summer Wine that Compo appeared in before he died  http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0626007/?ef_=nm_flmg_act_10    Its sad to note that his death means that only 6 of 17 cast members of that episode are still alive !

Sheila Reid did well to leave before it was too late.

In all fairness the bloke was the size of Benidorm and looked like he was on borrowed time.

He'll always be Albert Selby in "How We Used to Live." to me.

Rumours about Sean Hughes?

Only source so far is a Facebook post from someone claiming to know him, indicating he had cirrhosis of the liver.

His last Twitter post from 8 days ago just said "In hospital".

So, any idea why?

Scrub that - seeing stuff emerging online about liver damage and his alcohol problem

If someone's got cracking tits, I'd expect Bill Oddie to be shagging them...

Meantime, is that sock dry yet?

Meantime part two...we have to put up with a presence of Russell Brand and Jonathan Ross, the first of which never had a flame and the latter whose flame died in the mid-1990s...

So long Sean Hughes, arguably the Godfather of alternative Irish comics to make it in the UK in the 1990s/00s...

RIP :rip:

When I saw this thread being bumped, I thought Artie Lange had died from a diabetic shock.
