What about Gary Sobers or Neil Harvey for the list next year if they reach the starting line?

Former West Indies wicketkeeper David Murray died yesterday, aged 72. He gained 19 Test caps and 10 ODI caps, mainly as Deryck (DL) Murray's understudy; when DL Murray retired, he was overlooked as a replacement in favour of Jeffrey Dujon (possibly related to his drug use - he was a known marijuana user and there were stories of cocaine use), so instead, he joined the rebel tour of South Africa, and received a lifetime ban.

Son of the great Everton Weekes, who died only a couple of years ago. I wonder how much he did to help his errant son. Yes there was huge condemnation of the 'rebels' by the West Indies team at the time, but it was easy for the likes of Richards, Lloyd and Holding, all automatic picks, to say that they shouldn't have taken the South African money. Players on the fringe of the team like David Murray were barely scraping by in domestic cricket.

Worth noting as surely the Australian press (and Australian cricket) calling her the oldest living test cricketer (till now) is the proof doubting Wiki editors need that Thelma McKenzie is in fact very dead?

Good point. cricinfo acknowledges Johnston as being the oldest, but is still showing McKenzie as living.
