You seem to be doing rather well this year so far!

Yeah it’s a good start ! I hope it’ll stay that way though !
I almost left Perigot and decided to finally put him in : great choice apparently but it was more luck than anything else !

Death notice for Silvia Tortora (59), italian journalist daughter of Enzo Tortora, italian presenter died in the '80s after a controversial trial.
Her husband is french actor Philippe Leroy (91).
Edit: actually not sure if this was the best topic for breaking the news. It fits for Leroy, tho.

From "postcovid illnesses" and a septic shock. Apparently he was vaccinated (doesn't say if it was before he got covid in June)

Often supported Amjad Ali Khan (1945-), Birju Maharaj (1938-), Hariprasad Chaurasia (1938-) and Shivkumar Sharma (1938-) on stage. A prodigy, tabla master Zakir Hussain once called him "one of the 15 good tabla players in the world"

According to one source, he was hospitalised on June 20th and needed breathing support. With ECMO starting from 2nd of July, developed more lung conditions and renal failure.

Birju Maharaj, Indian Kathak dancer noted above, has died aged 83.

Japanese media reporting the death of Shizuo Miyauchi, aged 76, from pancreatic cancer. He was an announcer for TBS and the original voiceover on Takeshi's Castle when it aired in Japan in the 80s.

His voice can be heard faintly on the UK version, as Craig Charles dubs over him with his shit jokes.

I just found out that "french barrel guy" who wanted to cross the Atlantic in a barrel, and who was a late 2018 suggestion by me, actually made it:

Jean-Jacques Savin was the name.

Jean-Jacques Savin, a.k.a. french barrel guy, has now died at 75 in another maritime stunt:
