Good on you, brilliant DL Committee members for including Jaruzelski last year, but excluding him this year. Instead you chose to include total unknowns like Wilko Johnson, Chris Woodhead and Joost van der Westhuizen. How about we remove some DL Committee members?

Oh well at least now he's finally dead we don't have to rely on those dodgy Polish news sites that google translate can't make head or tails of !

Now now..........

(and by that I mean, yes, now, let's do it now)

No, this is a setback or something....... actually I'll let them make their own excuses. But there's still lots of quality names on there. Remember everyone in October last year thought we were destined to end up with only 8 or 9 or something.

Had him on DDP, joker in the Deathrace, and in pole position (guffaw) in Hartlepool. Nice news all around...

I always look to 2003 for inspiration. Took till march for the first hit, didn't get the 4th hit till mid june, but ended up on a record breaking 14. Billy Graham can't last much longer surely ,and it's all gone really quiet on the Nancy Reagan front so she must be on her last legs..

Third hit of the DDP not a bad first year so far !

3rd hit in the DDP and I guessed the correct date he'll go.

I picked May 25th for two reasons, 1. I was going on how long it took people like Suharto to go once their health went into a steep decline and 2. May 25th was the only date close enough that hadn't been taken yet. I almost picked the 24th :)

I dropped him from my DDP team after he turned 90. Just a personal rule.

I think I may have him on some other teams though.

Oh my, what a nice surprise!

First DDP main team hit. I can't remember being so late in the year...

Well done Eddie Mair on radio 4 who's just done the first obit for Jaruzelski on radio or tv , as far as I know anyway. Can't believe ho w little coverage his death has had for such a major cold war figure!

His widow, Barbara, died on May 29th.

As the forum's Polack, I'm embarrassed that I didn't find this news earlier.

We"ll excuse you. After all, with her living in Poland and you in Chicago, you and she were Poles apart...
