Breaking News- Queen to make special broadcast to the nation this weekend.Last time she did it was just after the death of Diana, other than Christmas day of course.

Yes but not to announce the death because the sad old bastard couldn't read the public mood enough to realise mourning her son's dead ex-wife might be the prudent thing to rather than have a big rave up with the Queen Mom and Prince Phil to celebrate her demise.

The last time wasn't Diana's death because she also spoke to the nation in 2002 in a special address when her mother died.

The third occasion was during the Gulf War, why I'm not so sure. She didn't do it for the Falklands or the War in Iraq??

No she didn't do it for Falklands or Iraq.

And fuck knows why she did it for the Gulf to be frank......

Should only be reserved for royal matters such as royal deaths. Unless Phils got the rona.

This is the gulf war one 'a just and lasting peace' probably why she didn't do it for Iraq. It's insanely hard to work out why she didn't do this for the trillion other wars in her reign though - the Eastern European ones under Blair, Iraq, Falklands.

This can't be the only wars she's agreed with in her whole reign surely?

Why is a statement front page news?

Because are country is sycophantically obsessed with the royal family.

If there weren't laws against it I'd burn down Bucks palace with the whole lot in to be frank. Pariahs and cunts.

You just want him to die and leave you all of his socks in his will.

Admit it.

The reason that the Sun and Mail made a big deal about this statement, is that they have decided to use Phil as an example of how great the RF can be, whereas Harry and Meghan, who have just banned the tabloids permanently from their lives (or tried to), can now be shown to be villains.

I think he'll rather make it to a 100 now than 5 months ago, since he lives together with the Queen again (which I think is preferable for him). Also he'll reach 100 just for the sake of reaching 100.

I think he’s 100 years old in 400 days time, I think he will reach his 100th Birthday now. I thought at Christmas when he left Hospital on Christmas Eve he wouldn’t last long as he looked like they had dug him up but he is still here almost 5 months later and obviously still has some fight and grit in him. I think he probably has another 2 or 3 years in him.

I won’t say 2 or 3 years but I can see him reaching his 100th birthday yes !
