I wonder if Charlie has got his sense of smell back yet, he probably can't tell that Daddy's dead without it. We all know about his eyesight impairment as why else would he fancy the old nag he's married to?

Which means we'll end up getting one before the day is out!

Best keep our eye out for the rest of them = The Queen, Edward and Andrew all live closer so should be there soon if he is going tonight.

Just spoken to my mum (care home nurse), and she's reckons they wouldn't be allowing visits unless it's end of life.

Normally I'm inclined to disbelieve Philip rumours but in this case with Charles changing his plans to move from Gloucester in the current climate, I think you're right.

Interesting. Reporter on Sky just said that Charles didn't visit him on the previous occasions he was in hospital

Anne and the Queen both have done so through.

Sounds like he’s probably fucked.

Daily Mail best start drafting tomorrow’s front page which blames Philip’s death on Meghan somehow.

I wonder if anyone has spotted Harry getting on a plane?

He was supposed to be self-isolating.

The amount of paparazzi in LA, you would think that TMZ would spot it.

They gave George V a John Belushi speedball. Can they not do the same here and hasten the process? Get it over with on a weekend and not disturb the already disturbed working week.

In most cases at the moment yes but this is the Royal family so if he just decided to turn up or announce his presence I doubt the hospital would decline.

Looking on the hospital's website, they're quite reluctant to allow visitors:

Quote

Please attend hospital alone to avoid crowding and limit the number of people entering the building. In exceptional circumstances you may be permitted a visitor or escort.

And given that the royal family have been keep on following the rules like the rest of us, I doubt Charles would travel for three hours to visit Philip, unless they genuinely believed that it could be the last visit.

Is he already gone?

Does seem quick.

Does the next of kin have to formally identify the deceased in the event of a hospital death?
