Must be very serious if they choose to swap a plush private hospital for an NHS one

He's been moved from a generalist hospital to one which specialises in cardiac and cancer matters.

Nothing to do with private vs. state. St. Bart's is the best in the country for the areas they focus in on.

Also, include a brief summary of the tweet’s content either before or after you link it in your post in case the tweets are deleted. (Not just ‘update’)

Question:  If you copy and paste a tweet (rather than link/embed it via the workings of the Twitter site) wouldn't it still appear here if it later gets deleted?

I believe it un-embeds but the link stays and leads to a page that just says ‘deleted’.

Yep. Provided that the tweet is embedded, it'll stay there, even if the tweet is deleted. The only difference is that it'll appear in plain text, as opposed to the regular style for an embedded tweet.

@The Old Crem –

1) Does your boss know that you just sit on your arse all day hitting the refresh button on your Twitter feed?

2) You do realise that when you post a tweet by a journo, and then post a subsequent 10 tweets which say the exact same thing albeit worded slightly differently, that it is no longer "news" and you're essentially just spamming.

I don't have one.

No he isn’t. They think he’s a cunt.

Don’t get too excited about the attempts to shield him from the cameras. It’s probably something trivial like they moved him by wheelchair because he’s still a patient.

They seem to adverse to being seen in public looking frail. I seem to recall there was a hoo-ha about Princess Margaret being wheeled out for some occasion or other. Backstairs Billy got his collar felt.

That was for the Queen mothers sort of birthday meet and greet style event outside Clarence  House that she did every year as admirers in the general public came to pay homage to her on her special day if memory serves me right.

A hospital specialising in cancers and cardiac issues seems an odd place for a patient who just has a vague "infection". Is this to do with his heart surgery a few years back, or perhaps might something worse be on the cards for old Phil?

Everything to do with private vs. state. Private does not have the expertise when it comes to life saving procedures. Name me a private outfit that has greater expertise in cardiac and cancer ( hardly trivial issues) matters??

Possibly something that's occurred as a knock on affect from the infection. Wouldn't be too uncommon depending on the severity of the infection for secondary issues to pop up if they have a pre existing condition

That's what he said.

So he said that Phil has had to move to an NHS hospital as private ones do not have the capability to provide specialist treatment.....but this has “nothing” to do with the difference between private & NHS.

Explain the logic in this, Einstein?

So, I'm thinking "worse" in this context means he could score the winner in the DL Cup final.

He's significantly less fancied than Peter Lorimer in the current round, slightly less popular than  Bob Dole

13 nights so far and probably 20+? That's quite a strain on our medical resources. I hope it's not coming out of the tax I would've paid if I declared my moonlighting activities.

I work in a hospital and NHS hospitals do take private patients as there are special areas for those patients.
