Prince Philip Duke Of Edinburgh

Recommended Posts

I was thinking that was an uncharacteristically tasteful dress for a York princess.  Apart fom the awful puff sleeves.

Turns out it's one of the Queen's old Norman Hartnell dresses.  With the awful sleeves tacked on.

Did anyone catch what he said to the second soldier?  Wonder if it was one of his characteristic witticisms :evil2:

He's looking good though, and walking pretty well without a stick.

Forget everything I've said about his imminent demise. He's going to live to 110. He must have  had a new injection of lizard blood! https://uk.reuters.com/article/uk-britain-royals-duke/prince-philip-hands-over-patronage-of-the-rifles-after-67-years-idUKKCN24N1RQ

Well, no, I think your prediction was enough to grant him immortality.

Well, I think his final decline will be rapid. But first, we'd need to see some articles of the "hospitalised after a fall" category.

He bounced back from all the previous health setbacks, so he's still got some resistance and strength.

That could be said about almost everyone left of this years list.

He walked down them steps more steadily than I could, genuinely, and all I’ve got is a titanium shin that’s nowhere near 90 years old, bravo old man!

Are we sure he's actually 99.... after all given his childhood he might have his own age a bit wrong?

Absolutely certain. He was recorded at the time as being present for Prince Louis of Battenburg's funeral in London in 1921 as a baby.

Whilst that may be true, given the way his family were deposed quite possibly someone stole his identity at a later date.

He is moving well if not better than me, some 40 odd years younger, absolute star, comedian, piss taker, top bloke. Born to it, performed, legend and long may it continue. Probably deserves almost as much respect as his missus.
