Prince Philip Duke Of Edinburgh

Recommended Posts

Hey, if I'm that active at 96, I think I'd be able to deal with looking rough in some photos.

If one takes a quick glanse at this photo, you might think it was a picture of Charles instead of Phillip.

Prince Philip's cousin Patricia Knatchbull, Lady Brabourne, Countess Mountbatten of Burma has died aged 93. http://www.kentonline.co.uk/ashford/news/prince-charles-godmother-dies-127197/

Wiki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patricia_Knatchbull,_2nd_Countess_Mountbatten_of_Burma

Might have been a previous DDP pick iirc.

Edit: Yes she was. http://www.derbydeadpool.co.uk/deadpool2013/celebs_K.html#knatcp

He looks quite cheerful!  Charles looks like he's in pain though.  Maybe Camilla stood on his toes.

Prince Phillip looks as fit as a 96-year-old will ever get.

The bright sunlight seems to hurt the eyes of Charles and George, which might hint at refractory problems (or just light sensitivity).

I would say that he looks good for 96, but he has definitely lost weight, and fast.

Have we really stooped to trying to amateur diagnose bairns?

The light sensitivity obviously comes from Cocaine abuse.

Sounds like they've only let people know in order to explain his absence at today's Queen Speech. Looking more and more likely is retirement is down to ongoing health issues.

Ongoing being 96-ishness.

I mean, it is a fair bet he wont be around within 18 months of this post, on age alone.

It is an infection:  https://thewest.com.au/news/royal-family/prince-philip-the-duke-of-edinburgh-in-hospital-with-infection-ng-b88514564z

UPDATE:  "A palace spokesman said Prince Philip was admitted as a precautionary measure for treatment, and that the infection arose from a pre-existing condition.

The spokesman added that the Duke remained in "good spirits"."

Average life expectancy of a male 96 year old (his birthday was only 11 days ago) is 2.6 years with a 28.66% chance of dying before he is 97.
