He's on iPlayer talking about I Claudius filmed recently.

Bar his hair going whiter that man hasn't aged in three decades.

Also had a TAVI earlier this year. Now she is virtually wheelchair bound I can't see her losing any weight , in fact she will probably gain more weight. Can't see her making 90.

I kind of thought she was a little younger? She IS 82 now, so she could be doing much worse, i.e. not doing anything at all.

She might enter DeathList consideration now.

I don't want to say fine but she was much her usual self on The Last Leg in late June so if she's facing a wheelchair now that's a fairly rapid decline. 90 is generous. Within 30 months imo.

Following the death of Michael Gambon I have updated the ten earliest winners of the Evening Standard Theatre award for Best Actor

1980      Tom Courtenay

1983      Derek Jacobi

1984      Ian McKellen

1998      Kevin Spacey

1999      Stephen Dillane

2000      Simon Russell Beale

2001      Alex Jennings

2003      Michael Sheen

2006      Rufus Sewell

2007      Patrick Stewart

Michael Gambon won in 1987 and 1995 which still leaves the three earlier winners from the eighties followed by the much younger winners in the late ninties and early noughties. However, the new addition to the list is the veteran RSC performer Patrick Stewart  who would probably be considered alongside the top 3 in terms of potential longevity rather than the other six

Stage Obit for Sarah Benfield, theatre actress who is best known to viewers as Tabitha In the 1978 mini-series A Traveller In Time: https://www.thestage.co.uk/obituaries--archive/obituaries/sarah-benfield

Other roles on Terry And June and Within These Walls. Became a drama teacher, hence her extended absence from our screens.

Jake Abraham, minor British actor, but Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels among them,  has stage 4 prostate cancer:

https://www.nationalworld.com/culture/television/lock-stock-and-two-smoking-barrels-jake-abraham-cancer-diagnosis-4220508

Has had it for years, probably, and it's pretty advanced. Undergoing palliative care, but that might sound more dramatic than it is, imo. Not a "weeks left" situation, but also not THAT many years left.

Jake Abraham reportedly dead:

First time I saw him was in a sitcom called Help! iirc. RIP.

I remember that, I think one of the McGanns was in it. Jake will always be the alternative Dave Lister to me. R.I.P

Guess I was wrong about the "not a weeks left kind of case".

Daily Star would-be QO is out, too.

He was in a Saturday morning kid's programme as well wasn't he? It's Wicked or something. Or was it 8:15 from Manchester. Either way, RIP.

His wiki has been updated  to see he died on holiday in Europe. Should Obit.

I wonder if this the first time a death has been announced on here sourced to someone I’ve seen in real life. ,

Played Prince Hal/Henry V in Orson Welles' 1966 film Chimes at Midnight, which Welles himself considered his best film.

"I know thee not, old man, fall to thy prayers. How ill white hairs become a fool and jester! I have long dream'd of such a kind of man, So surfeit-swell'd, so old and so profane. But, being awaked, I do despise my dream"

RIP

If it was anybody but Susan Penhligon who posted this I'd be looking for a obit.  But she has  personal (and very touching) connection with Keith in that they both adored Richard Warwick (her bestie, his ex-boyfriend).    Keith Baxter | Richard Warwick actor (wordpress.com)
