"Sweeny" is mis-spelled but "Steve" is correct isn't it?

My use of ‘either’ refers to Steve Sweeney or the other Steve Sweeney (simply put, she is paying tribute to one of them and despite that didn’t take the time to get the name right).

No worries, all good….

I’d be worried for anyone who could mess up spelling Steve…. :)

Many years ago I had a schoolfriend named Stephen who, on being questions by a teacher if he knew anything about the name "Steve" being scratched into a (wooden) desk, tried to convince him he spelled his abbreviated name as "Stephe". Admittedly, the chances of you and he being the same person are pretty slim, but its not impossible.

As far as I know, the only way to edit a tweet is to delete the whole post and start again.  So I wouldn't be too critical.

The Boer in his infinite wisdom decided to add an edit button, but only for those who shill out 8 dollars per month.

Still no official word on which (if any) Steve Sweeney has died. You'd have thought, given the ambiguity, that someone (an agent or management company perhaps) would have clarified by now. Anyway, someone has posted on Twitter that the UK Steve was 61. (eta - The independent has also updated it's report to amend his age to 61)

What a strange selection of people, from household names to the obscure. I've never heard of Peter Guinness, and his filmography doesn't suggest that I should have. I see he's married to Roberta Taylor though, so maybe there was a two for one deal on talking heads?

Roberta Taylor Guardian Obit: https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2024/jul/23/roberta-taylor-obituary

Gina Gold in The Bill and Irene Raymond in Eastenders.

Slightly shaken about this death.

Just been watching the BBC 1978 adaptation of Wuthering Heights and noted that Pat Heywood (Nellie) is still with us and has just turned 90. She should obit because she got a BAFTA supporting actor nomination for her role in Zefferelli's Romeo & Juliet

Mentioned many times on DL Forums before...

Time death notice for Pat Heywood (wiki), who died on 26th June aged 92.

Spoiler

NEVILLE Pat (née Heywood) died peacefully on 26th June 2024, aged 92. Prolific actress in theatre, film and TV.

A unique pick in the DDP!

Ah sad, she was the oldest living female actress from Doctor Who.

I guess now Barbara Clegg who was a month older than the beloved Queen Elizabeth is the oldest female living actress from DW

An actress but not on Doctor Who, rather she was the writer of the 1983 story Enlightenment.

As Sly Ronnie pointed out Clegg is a writer not an actress. There are 2 contenders for who it might be, Thelma Barlow (b.1929) who played Lady Thaw in the Lazarus experiment or Wendy Danvers who played Amazonia in The Curse of Peladon, her birth-date is not known but it is thought she was born about 1927.

As well as voicing Grace Archer she was also the original voice of Jennifer Aldridge (then Archer) when the character was a child.
