Hmm, noticing the avatars gone, is @Ulitzer95 away? Been a bit busy this month but I was enjoying the discovery of hidden gems among the aging acting lot.

Ure is still with us. She lives in London according to StarTiger.

2006 interview here. In the comments section from June 2020:

"That's my gran! And she's still going! Also, never seen this before!"

Someone just liked an old Supergran tweet I made so I had to check in on Gudrun but I just read that she played Desdemona opposite Orsen Wells as Othello on stage in 1951.

She is alive and well as far as I can ascertain

You had me there. Thought a new post by msc was bound to be confirmation on André Maranne. It’s starting to stress me out now!

Hah, sorry. Our main man is still inconclusive, to the point someone might need to request the certificate from Brighton if it exists.

(He was a known person in fan circles, to the point of phone number and address, and had a lot of friends in acting - I find it astounding if he was able to die 3 weeks ago without a single RIP tweet, Facebook message or reference in a local paper. So the longer without confirmation the more sceptical I get. Judy Norman's death was just announced about a month after it happened and she was considerably less famous...)

I can see his address on the autograph hunter community I’m on.

Half tempted to drive down to Brighton, chap on the door and say “Well hello there, just checking you’re not dead. ;)

Really sad news about Shane Briant. I used chat with him on Twitter quite a bit around eight years ago and he was lovely. He was also *stunningly* gorgeous when he was young. RIP.

I don't know what you're thinking, but my guess would be one of the degenerative illnesses like Huntingtons or MND.  Having recently lost a friend to the former, I can confirm that it was both long and increasingly terrible.

Wasn't quite sure where to put this, but thought we were overdue a masterlist for British television actors so went through a list of UK TV shows of the 60s–90s earlier and singled out all the actors turning 90+ in 2021. Vast majority of these names will obit for sure:

Damaris Hayman (wiki, b. 1929) One Foot in the Grave; Doctor Who

As always, additions very welcome.

Bad news, everyone, I'm afraid the great Damaris Hayman has died.

(4) Toby Hadoke on Twitter: "RIP that gloriously eccentric character player Damaris Hayman, not far off her 92nd birthday - she helped Doctor Who battle The Daemons, walked the halls of St Trinian's, saw the Pink Panther Strike Again and was the essence of genteel English wit opposite many great comics. https://t.co/83sLbMoq51" / Twitter

She was, in fact, your third unique pick death in R1, making you the second person after Rotten Ali to have completed R1 by all 3 methods! Nearly 4 years since it finished and 5 players haven't finished by any of the 3 measures yet!
