Beats me. Somewhere down the line someone must’ve tried to put 2 and 2 together and got 5. IMDb used to be a treasure trove of erroneous info so I point the finger there. IMDb is MUCH better nowadays. They’re pretty strict eg they won’t even accept Toby’s tweets as evidence of an actor being dead.

You two are a couple of fucking anoraks....in  nice way.:D

1932 Names

Norman Bowler - Emmerdale, Robin of Sherwood, loads of ITC stuff in the 60s.

The only other ones I  can think of that haven't been mentioned are more famous for other things but have made some tv apearences, Nina Van Pallandt and Petula Clark.

Sad news if true, she seemed ubiquitous back in the day.

Her turn in the King Of Clubs Poirot story exemplifies her characteristic style. RIP.

Just been watching the BBC 1978 adaptation of Wuthering Heights and noted that Pat Heywood (Nellie) is still with us and has just turned 90. She should obit because she got a BAFTA supporting actor nomination for her role in Zefferelli's Romeo & Juliet

Auf Wiedersehen, Pet, Corrie, Emmerdale, Heartbeat - make up your own jokes. Oft in the Loose Women audience.

Played Billy in an episode of The Bill (imaginative character naming there) called Thug on the Tyne.

No doubt he was a wrong un and when caught by the regular polis main character, he was heard to say "the thug on the Tyne is all mine, all mine..."

She was also brilliant in what I consider to be the best ever Inspector Morse episode, Second Time Around, when she was the mother of Christopher Eccleston's character. Also in that was Kenneth Colley who is 83 now.

Tomorrow's Daily Star.

90-year-old Frank Williams still well enough to declare war on the BBC for censoring episodes of Dad's Army.

Tabloids love coercing elderly people into fighting their culture war for them. Dad’s Army has been heavily repeated by the BBC in great slots for 40+ years, more than pretty much any other sitcom. All of the Dad’s Army episodes are available uncut on DVD, on Britbox and often repeated. The BBC just put a warning for a racial slur before showing the film recently. Sounds pretty fair to me.
