One of those people I had assumed had died 20-30 years ago. An absolute legend at catching criminals. Glad he had a long retirement

He violated his legal code of ethics and attorney client privilege.  He’s a POS and can rot in hell.

I wonder if needed to die right after those original articles came out to get a QO? So far he’s getting nothing besides sources around the Chicago area, which isn’t really good for anything...

21 minutes ago, The Scottish Evangelist said:

Police officers found the bodies of Thomas Johnson, 70, and his wife, Leslie Ann Jones, 67 stabbed multiple times.

The couple, both graduates of Harvard Law School, were partners in the downtown Chicago law firm of Johnson, Jones, Snelling, Gilbert & Davis.

This seemed rather interesting:
Johnson served as one of nine members of the Chicago Police Board - an independent civilian body that decides disciplinary cases involving Chicago police officers.

Last year, he presided over hearings for four police officers accused of covering up the investigation into the 2014 fatal shooting of Laquan McDonald.

He also presided over a hearing for an officer who shot and killed 55-year-old Bette Jones, 55, and Quintonio LaGrier, 18, during a 2016 confrontation with LaGrier.
All five officers were eventually fired.  (HMMMMM.... just sayin.... found murdered and all, guess who gets to investigate lol).

LOL and this:  Police Board President Ghian Foreman said in a statement. 'All of us on the Board admired and respected Tom’s deep knowledge of the law and commitment to fairness. His work was of the highest caliber.' (Yeah, apparently 30-06:lol:

I'll get me coat.

A former judge from Iran sought by his country to face corruption charges has died after a fall from a hotel, Romanian media reported.

Romanian police said a man had fallen from a high floor at a hotel in the capital Bucharest, but did not identify him.

Local media identified the victim as Gholamreza Mansouri, who fled Iran last year after authorities there alleged he took about 500,000 euros (£450,000) in bribes.

Mansouri, who was facing an extradition request by Iran, had denied the allegations.

Hmm, so as I go through my longlist, I notice Argentina judge Claudio Bonadio died in February and received a Reuters UK obit!

Oh, he could have been the Hector Timerman of 2020:

Brian Hutton, Baron Hutton, former Lord Chief Justice of Northern Ireland and former Appeal Court judge, dead: https://www.irishnews.com/news/northernirelandnews/2020/07/16/news/death-of-former-law-lord-brian-hutton-2007030/

Chaired the inquiry that deep cleaned the UK Government of any involvement in the death of Dr David Kelly.

Unsurprisingly, a DDP pick.

Searched for both Anthony Lester and Lord Lester before posting, neither one of which showed up aside from what had already been posted. Strange.
