Smug stopped being appreciated when I got back in town.

It has absoultely nothing to do with the fact he's on my DDP by the way. Clearly he's not on yours because he's too well known/famous...

That's not the cute puppies stage, is it?

Nah, that's the one where you need to ring the helpline to cope with the challenges before reaching the next level.

There is a stage 7.This is what Stage 6 means:

Stage 6: Severe Decline

Patients with the sixth stage of Alzheimer’s disease need constant supervision and frequently require professional care. Symptoms include:

  • Confusion or unawareness of environment and surroundings
  • Major personality changes and potential behavior problems
  • The need for assistance with activities of daily living such as toileting and bathing
  • Inability to recognize faces except closest friends and relatives
  • Inability to remember most details of personal history
  • Loss of bowel and bladder control
  • Wandering

But does this mean he'll die soon? Like is there a good chance for a sweepstake, or for him to even die this year? Or can he still linger on for a few years?

Well that gives him a very small chance of making it to 2018. So he's a good bet for this year or next.

The article states that most patients die around 7c-7d. If he just entered stage 7, that means he is expected to survive 3-4 more years, and possibly up to 8-10. (7a-7e takes an average of 6 years, and patients can survive a few more years in 7f)

He ain't going anywhere in 2016. I've got another can of coffee for the homeless if I'm wrong. He's a decent pick in 2017. Mind, he's going to get the best medical attention money can buy -- those 'averages' are for common folk like you and I. He automatically gets a few months due to better care, better facilities, 24-hour watch, etc etc. Let me know when he resigns to taking generic alternatives to 'pricy' meds. LOL

I was banking that he was a cert' for this year. Thanks for the update. I'll be swapping him out of my Rotten dead pool on that average prognosis report.

Do not think of it as wasted. We still have 9 months left of the year.

Man City might still win the Premier League.

Yes, and given enough thrust, pigs will fly.

All taken on board, but Campbell is #4 on my HPDP team (the three above are already dead - the six below are alive) so that was a bad call.
