Or a week. I don't think he has a month left let alone 7.

He had a little more than a week left, but that was kinda accurate. WP & R.I.P.

RIP Glen. Rhinestone Cowboy is a great song.

Wichita Lineman too.  He certainly had a few.  Southern Nights was a big hit but hokey.  Like John Denver in a way, same niche..... and Denver's 'Thank God I'm A Country Boy' hokey shlock that interfered with an otherwise talented ouvre.

A release for him at last. Having outlived a ton of his songwriters, it is sad loss for many who found country more accessible through him. Good rest, sir and thanks for your contribution.

RIP.

Alas, Glen never had a UK No 1 hit, so does not further the Scavenger Hunt deadpool.

I DON'T WANT TO GIVE MY AGE AWAY, but as a child I remember singing over and over one of Glen Campbells greatest hits, Rhinestone Cowboy. For some reason I was obsessed with  the song, and Campbell for ages! I therefore feel his loss in a weirdly personal way, for someone who never met him.He was quite simply, to me at least,  a titan of music. RIP  great man .

Seeing as it was Campbell who was my 20th DDP name that I inserted when I gave John Wetton the ill-advised boot, there is ever-so-slight vindication for Cancel My Appointments.

I wonder if he is having a drink with Peter Falk up in the sky. They both have a commonality I seem to recall.
