So there is still a theoretical possibility to win, yay.

So what's the actual current scores? Do I need to quickly go and leave a skateboard at the top of Rihanna's stairs?

No need to go to such lengths just e-mail Chris Brown and intimate that she has told you that he is not very well provided for in the trouser department. You will be collecting points before you know it.

This post is wrong in so many ways!!

Cliburn's death leaves DDT one cadaver away from victory, presuming they go before December.

Apologies for the earlier mistake but this is the real deal and DDT's nailed-on winner status is finally confirmed. The first former champion to take a second title! As per the mistake a fortnight ago, it is now customary for praise to be heaped upon the winner and the winner to respond with modest mutterings about luck, pins in lists of names etc. DDT, can you PM me to indicate whether a charitable donation or physical prize of some sort (like maybe a triple CD of Christian rock that we've decided we won't use for the radio show!) would be preffered.

Thank you. This is possibly my finest hour. My success is all down to luck and a vision I had at my annual magic mushroom party.

I'll be contacting you shortly with details of my preferred good cause - The Bankers Benevolence Fund. ^_^

Congratz to DevonDeathTrip.

I have to be happy with my (current) position. Not bad for a debut.

I'll take second. Just as long as I take first in the DDP.

Aye, a fair point AG. The jockeying for podium places was lively to the last (Chavez).

A serious point here gang, despite the work involved and full-on blitz of activity that caused me to miscalculate the winner a fortnight back I'm up for doing this again in 2014. The Grim Reaper seems relaxed enough about this forum hosting Deathrace and all the day-to-day HPDP activities. I'm up for making one change next year and ditching dirty dozens and filthy fifteens in favour of teams of 20 all round, however they are compiled. That should reward anyone intent on Deathrace winning and keen enough to draft a line-up of low-hangers including the elderly, cult heroes fit for trade press obits and the like. Before this thread falls into the abyss, whaddya reckon to that plan?

Congrates DDT. You are awfie good at this listing people who are going to die lark. Should I ever wind up on one of your lists, I'd have to make sure my will was in order.

And sounds fine MPFC - indeed, next year I think I'll put in a Tarnished Twenty instead of the DDP list, given how my DDP seems more content to be a marathon instead of a sprint!

Reet

As the thread sinks slowly into obscurity let me just revive it for a few seconds for two reasons:

1 - I'm intending to run it again and make ONE change, basically any team of 20 however constituted will be allowed for 2014 in the hope that specialist teams of conspicious low-hangers will be mustered for an all-out assualt on victory by the end of January,or summat. Seriously, 20 super-centenarians would be welcome etc! If anyone has any other opinions on this plan, post 'em before the thread finds itself on page 11 of this forum.

2 - I've only just got round to paying out the prize. DDT admirably opted for a charity donation and that coincided with MPFC Towers changing broadband providers at which point the (generally shit) support services offered by Orange left me unable to log on for weeks. Wasn't totally sure about online security when I did, but finally sorted now.

DDT supports this lot, I'm sure anyone else donating to them would make the world a better place.
