The Dead Of 2013

Recommended Posts

Re the post above, searching isn't always flawless; especially where the variable spellings of arabic names or others which emanate in a foreign language are concerned. And, despite the tonnage of threads, there are still gaps and overlaps. Pygmy animal en masse slaughter, being one such case. Those animals weren't exactly famous when they were alive and the "news" is the scale and pre-meditation of death, or summat.

Sir Paul Holmes, New Zealand journalist and TV presenter has died, aged 62. http://tvnz.co.nz/national-news/sir-paul-holmes-dies-hawke-s-bay-home-5330967

A very well known news and current affairs specialist in New Zealand, it was obvious he was going to die in 2013, but the obituary chances were, to me, so unlikely to transfer to a UK obit, I didn't even consider him on my shortlist and neither did many others it seems. But Wot The Deuce did go for him - and would take 11 points if the UK obit does come.

Very well known over there indeed! I have been to NZ on a number of occasions, and the guy was hardly ever off the screens. He was quite a controversial character well known for his hard-hitting style which rattled a few cages.

Isn't there a Dead of 1485 thread somewhere?

I've been looking for the 1485 death thread for hours now, the DL search option is as dodgy as King Richard's spine.
