The Dead Of 2013

Sir Sandy Woodward who commanded the naval taskforce during the Falklands war has died aged 81 http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-23575534

I'm not allowed to tell you how many undertakers there were but I can tell you that I counted them as they carried his coffin into the hearse, and I counted them again all back again as they walked away.

The Sun (and more crucially, Page3.com) went behind a paywall at midnight.

For me, I think this is like the official death of the "first age" of the internet where everything felt (or was) free. Ok it's far from being the first newspaper to go behind a paywall but, it's Page 3 isn't it? Come on. For a lot of guys, a part of them probably died inside and there's probably tons of men out there who are far more disappointed than they would admit. You can no longer access the holy grail of gloriously tacky softcore porn without paying. It costs £86 a year for a subscription to Sun Plus (and probably a lot more if you decide to do it month-by-month.) Which means you can no longer enjoy Page 3 online, no-strings-attached, then forget about it and pretend you're above The Sun. If you wanna access it you've got to commit and I wouldn't stoop to that even if it was only £20 a year. Okay, maybe if it was £10.

And yeah, of course I know there's a shit-ton of free softcore (and hardcore) porn out there on the internet but it's not quite the same is it?!

Actually it is the same I can confirm that :D . plus if blonde girls with big boobs aren't your favourite type then your f##ked as that was all that was shown mostly on page 3. Also look at the positive you don't have to read any stories from the sun newspaper online anymore.

Was already in my notepad underlined, highlighted and asterixed with UNIQUE PICK WHO NOBODY ELSE WILL HAVE DEFINITELY TERMINALLY ILL. Ah well, time to find more dying Hillsborough parents.

Reality tv star Gia Allemande is dead at 29 http://www.eonline.c...imdb_topstories

She could also be added to the wresting thread, cause she's a former WWE Diva search contestant.

why would someone so young , sweet and pretty commit suicide? she had everything. doesn't make any sense. could she have been murdered and it made to look like suicide?

Beats me; I was having a bit of good-natured banter with her on Ask.fm just the other day.

I heard the other day that Tom Christian, O.B.E, decendent of Fletcher Christian and Pitcairn Island's radio communications officer for forty years, has died aged 72. He may not be famous in the conventional sense, but I think there is a very good chance he will receive a UK obituary, as he played such a crucial role in the survival of the tiny, troubled and isolated island community, which is all that is left of Britain's former Pacific Empire.

There isn't much online so far, save for this tribute by Maurice Bligh, decendent of Fletcher Christian's archnemesis, Captain William Bligh

Daily Telegraph obituary for Tom Christian.

The director Ted Post , who directed such iconoc movies as Hang Em High has died at 95 http://www.latimes.c...0,1653212.story

Booooooo.

Never seen Hang 'Em High but I'm sure it's somewhere on one of my many scrappy, hastily-scribbled "movies to watch eventually" lists. Not sure why, but it annoys me when movie directors die before I've seen their movies. I mean, if they were still alive while I was old enough to actually watch them/be aware of them, that is.

Plus it's just generally sad to me when any decent movie person dies since I love films so much.

Been missing the best of British spunk on this thread for a while. So, I give you: Peter Moore, still up for a WW2 fight after his gun had jammed!

I don't know why but I really hate people who die at age X9, it's like they just want to piss off people who like round numbers, hence I am now conflicted about whether I love or hate Gilbert Taylor.

In DDP terms it's the other way round for me. People who die at X9 are worth an extra point than if they live to X0.

A number ending in 9, like 9 and 99. Oh, and 69, of course.

Hein
