US Ensemble Dramas/HBO Box Set Shows

The wire was my favourite TV show of all time. Valchek was a wonderful character.

The Deacon, Detectives Massey, Mahone and Cole, Major Foerster, Prop Joe, Omar, Nick Sobotkas dad Louis and Norman Wilson are some of the characters who have passed away in real life

Lance Reddick of The Wire dead at 60 years old https://www.tmz.com/2023/03/17/the-wire-star-lance-reddick-dead-dies/

Apparently completely unexpected, as he was apparently supposed to appear on some shows promoting John Wick 4 this week. And was, so I heard from a movie industry friend, signed on to do additional John Wick films.

Fuck, no! Saw him first in Lost, and then he just kept appearing in all the stuff I like.

Very sad.

A guy I was always pleased to see pop up in small roles. Always amazing line delivery.

After my one-year-too-early theme team effort with Sopranos alums, someone could do a lot worse than by putting together a team of 20 Wire possibles...

At this rate, I'm not sure there'll be any left for next year.

It seems like he took his own life. The article says that his father recently died, and he wasn't handling the grief well.

Not mentioned in the TMZ article, his former manager recently called him out for his drug addiction. Angus went to rehab, then 2 days after leaving, he resumed using drugs again. Seems like this was supposed to be some sort of wake-up call for him. Ironically, he played a drug dealer on Euphoria.

The article implies he took his own life, although maybe his father's death caused him to use more drugs, then he accidentally overdosed.

Mark Margolis. Actor known from Scarface, Oz, Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. 81 next month so not one of the old ones but has had a brain surgery after a fall during the filming of Better Call Saul and has looked like a centenarian for some time. Seems to be in good health at the moment, but who knows.

Mark Margolis dead at 83.

Sharon Farrell died off radar in May per a recent FB post by her sister.

Looking at her Wiki page, someone did add a death date at the time, so looks like another case of someone editing a page to add a death date (which obviously didn't stick) and not telling the press.
