Lars Goran Petrov dead. Already made NME and Kerrang, may sneak an actual QO at this rate, so could be good news for the two DDP teams who gambled on him.

Johnny Solinger, ex-singer of Skid Row, and apparently only the second-biggest frontman in the history of the band, has been diagnosed with liver failure, possibly because of Hepatitis:

Prognosis is "not that good" but he wants to get a fundraiser going etc...

Robert Plant seems to have used lockdown to get his back catalogue in order, and is content for his unreleased music to go public after he dies: https://www.femalefirst.co.uk/music/musicnews/robert-plant-unleash-vault-unreleased-music-dies-1299289.html

Don't think anything is imminent, but he's obviously getting organised. Maybe just bored?

Sounds more like he's just made a will, as people in good health do manage sometimes! Also he seems to be talking about not only unreleased recordings but memorabilia, documentation of his career etc. That's more as if he expects that by the time he dies everyone else connected with Zeppelin will be gone too, putting his heirs beyond the risk of libel and other embarrassments.

So, the archive includes a letter from his mum telling Plant to give up the "nonsense" (i.e. being in Led Zeppelin) and points out there's still an accountancy job open for him in Stourport-on-Severn. I think he should put that on his website now!

He might have been happier taking up the accountancy job and doing the music as a hobby at weekends. Also he wouldn't have had his named tarnished by that paedo Jimmy Page.

Aye, with only a catalogue to kill for and a net worth of $200 million to console him.

Yeah, well - that great call fell foul of making any great calls at all in the last round.

Frank Marino guitarist for Mahogany Rush has announced their retirement with this statement

With sorrow I am forced to announce my immediate retirement from touring, and possibly all things related to continuing my career, due to an unexpected and debilitating medical condition which makes it impossible for me to tour. I want to thank all the people who supported me all of the last half-century. I know that many were looking forward to seeing us play this fall and I was looking forward to getting out again and doing more shows, but it now appears that in the absence of a miraculous recovery, my Concert DVD (Live at the Agora) will constitute the last show I will ever have played. I ask any that are believers to include me in their prayers.
