Tom Hunting, the drummer for thrash band Exodus, is being treated for cancer. He was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma in the stomach back in February, news he shared in a statement from the band on Facebook.

Some progress in Tom Hunting's cancer fight, it only costs him his whole stomach:

Just loading a track into the folder for the first Sunday of 2022 and our List of the Lost radio show (playing the music of those who died this year), looks like this thread missed singer/guitarist/song-writer John Lawton (lively form card incl. Lucifer's Friend and Uriah Heep), who died on 29 June

Stomach removed. Apparently, there's not just cancer in his stomach (squamous cell carcinoma), but also mesothelioma cells.

That's sad news. Saw Cinderella live back in the day - they were pretty good but blown away by support band Little Angels (just before they broke through).

I'm trying to remember what year that was, I also saw Cinderella on the same bill at Little Angels. First album by Little Angels was pretty good, 2nd was ok-ish and their 3rd album I barely bothered to listen to.

It was the Long Cold Winter tour, so back end of 1988 I think.

Little Angels never really beat the Too Posh To Mosh mini-LP imho, though Don't Prey For Me was decent.

Saw articles about his death around a week ago. Apparently a "very quick disease" (pancreatic cancer?)

Also worked with Hanoi Rocks. The Hanoi Rocks guitarist Andy McCoy, real name Antti Hulkko is still somehow alive at 58 despite being a mess (now only uses weed and alcohol) for most of his life, a former heroin addict who has said that he used drugs every day for 20 years in the 80s/90s.

Won't get to 65.

Paul Stanley and KISS are mourning the death of Stanley's longtime guitar tech Francis Stueber, who died Saturday of COVID-19.

Fran is survived by his wife and three sons. He was only 52 years old.

Fran began working with Kiss in 2002 and was a mainstay on Kiss and Stanley's solo tours ever since. Fran also worked behind the scenes for Heart, The Offspring and REO Speedwagon in his career.
