I'm guessing because he was in 617 Squadron. Anyway, he's being reported dead: https://www.key.aero/article/dambuster-lawrence-benny-goodman-dies Cross-posting Lawrence Goodman's death report here - reportedly the last surviving pilot of 617 Squadron (but I'm scared because of the whole Tuskegee survivors/Spanish Civil War threads!). According to this, he died 18th July: https://dambustersblog.com/2021/07/18/sqn-ldr-benny-goodman/

We are greatly saddened to report that the famed Ukrainian Air Force Flanker air show display pilot, and national hero of Ukraine, Colonel Oleksandr “Grey Wolf” Oksanchenko, was shot down over the capital Kyiv last Friday night shortly after his seventh air to air kill against the Russian Air Force (RAF) by a Russian S-400 Triumph Air Defence Missile System.
