Let the kid be the kid he's gonna be. As long as he isn't molesting smaller kids or trying to sleep with older women (or men) you're ahead of the game.

Think I made my first dead pool team when I was... 15? I know that Bill Maynard was on it because he was in the papers for being ill at the time. Fifteen years later and the cunt's still with us.

OK. Is there anyone on this forum who would describe their ethnic heritage as anything but white?

I'm an unholy collision of every down-trodden white heritage from my part of the world (skint Ulstermen who thought west Cumbria an improvement, farm labourers etc.)

So I might describe it as "shite"

I can't see why ethnicity would play a part in whether someone dead pools

Who deadpools? From what I was once told, seemingly lots of MPs, advisors, types like that.

I don't think it does but from what I can gather there is no-one on here who doesn't come from a Judeo-christian Caucasian background. I am not saying that there is a causal link but I wanted to know if I was mistaken.

Exactly what I was thinking.

If TMIB is up for it sending out a survey to each entrant for next year's DDP to get demographic stats could be interesting. It'd be far more accurate than asking on here.

There is at least one DDP winner, double winner if I remember correctly, and former forum member who is black.

By and large, dead poolers would probably score higher than the national average for IQ and level of qualifications.

Probs more male than female too

IMHO anyway

Most of us are just list fanatics with a interest in celebrity culture, let's be honest?

Oddly, I'm neither of those.

More someone who finds the humour hereabouts cathartic and useful and - as for dead pooling - I got hooked because I did okay in the first ones I entered and enjoyed the collision of hard headed logic and guesswork.

My fellow inmates at Broadmoor like it more because they can vividly picture the final moments of those they select

Not so much an interest in celebrity culture as an interest in post-celebrity culture. If you find the fact that Frankie Lymon and Bobby Driscoll died within a month of each other worthy of note, then you'll probably find comfort in this hobby.

Yes we are discussing people long after their 15 minutes are up.

When I was much younger I read a book of urban legends from the library which mentioned the whole Academie francaise betting on which of their members would be the next to snuff it legend. (I paraphrase from memory, this was a long time ago.) Naturally, and curiously, I wrote a list of really old famous people I thought would be likely to die soon after. The only names I remember from that list were Alec Guinness and Verity Lambert, neither of whom died that year.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who thought that only us "crazy white people" deadpool.
