-Your Brother...

*gets right in his ear*
MISTER LANGEROCK CAN YOU HEAR ME. *nods*  MISTER LANGEROCK, YOUR BROTHER IS ABOUT TO DIE!

Drew up a list of 221 centenarian celebrities a fortnight ago. She's the first one of them to die. God bless

The 2nd one on my list has died already!  Artist Karl Otto Gotz dead at 103 http://www.dw.com/en/abstract-art-pioneer-karl-otto-götz-dies-aged-103/a-40172887

You draw up a list of people 100 years of age or older, it's bound to happen.

Edit: 221 names?  The boundaries of 'celebrity' must have been stretched to the limit to pound out so many living 'celebrity centenarians'.  I'll applaud the effort nonetheless.

Stretched pretty thin in some cases for example the 3rd one to go ,Cricketer Tom Pritchard at 100 http://www.wisdenindia.com/cricket-news/warwickshire-great-tom-pritchard-dies-aged-100/266141. These centenarians are like no 9 buses. Wait for ages and suddenly all come (or go in this case ) at once !

Made news when he became a general at age 100 because of a promise given to him in the 1950s.

Polish-born too. It seems as if once the Polish tend to hit a ripe old age, they all die together (seriously, go see how many Polish centenarians have died this past month.

Great. Nobody really gives a shit about guessing correctly from a list of very old people. Honestly, why should I care. They won't even be able to help you win the DDP if you had a list of random centenarians even if all 20 die.

Nothing wrong with a random list of really old people. That was my first ever shadow list in 2011. Centenarians! Three of whom are still alive!

Also, if someone picked 20 random old folk on the DDP and they all died, that'd be worthy of praise. The odds against that must be staggeringly high.

Swiss Radio-Presenter Helene Stehle dead at 109 years. She was No. 1 in the wiki-list of the famous centenarians.

New No. 1 is now Ruth Bancroft, 108 years and 361 days old.

No just the 7th but that's averaging at one death a day so they should all be dead by around next easter if it keeps up at this rate ! She was the 2nd top of my list. The top one is Sri Sri Sivakumara Swamiji  who turned 110 last April

As a matter of interest who are the 3 still alive?

Sree Sree Shiva-thingymyjig, Mary Carlisle (I had her DOB wrong), and Johan van Hulst. We've grown some other centenarians since, and others I'd missed out at the time due to not having heard of them.
