I saw some old pictures of him a while ago and he didn't look really healthy in the 1950s:

He's the one with something in his mouth

Yes, I'd say he sets a very bad example for our kids.

Oldest person in Greenland, first and only male centenarian in Greenland (and currently only centenarian in Greenland) Anton Geisler got to 102 a few days ago:

https://avannaata.gl/Nyheder/2021/02/22_AnthonGeisler

If he lives 154 days he'll be the oldest person in Greenland ever. Worked in his shop until June 2020.

Don't think this photo was ever posted. From the Daily Mail, August 2020, Australian actress Mary Ward (wiki) on her 105th birthday.

Looks very good for her age (potential supercentenarian candidacy?). Then again, this article from the same period suggests her engagement with others was becoming poorer... whatever that means.

Anyway, she turns 106 this week!

I'm sure I've seen that photo before, because I remember wondering why anyone would decorate a cake with garlic

Britain's oldest prisoner, Ralph Clarke is due to turn 106 in March. He was sentenced to 13 years in prison in December 2016 for historical child sex offences.

The last articles about him are from October 2019, but assuming he hasn't croaked it - I'm wondering, will the sick bastard hold on until 2023 for his parole?

Ulitzer is checking the list of centenarians to discover all of them are depressingly healthy.

Rarely go on that page tbh, but just had a quick scroll through it seeing as it's been a while.

At least one name has died but is still alive on Wiki...

María Teresa Linares Savio (wiki), Cuban musicologist, died back in January aged 100.

Nobody cared then, nobody cares now. Wikipedia is full of pages of pointless people!

Gundula Holbrook, a champion of the Australian submarine community and a philanthropist, died in mid-February. She was 106. Holbrook was the widow of Commander Norman Douglas Holbrook VC, the first submariner ever awarded the Victoria Cross.

A DDP pick in 2017 and 2018, but not picked this year.

Well @drol, 1913 still has Boris Pahor and Carl J. Shapiro. What was that you were saying about westerners not having any staying power? :D

Nah, Ganjam is one of the few Indian geezers whose age I believe to be real. Not thinking the same about Saalumarada Thimmakka or Fauja Singh...
