Thanks. Updated the Who's Who list I posted in Feb. Also scored off Dannatt, Lam, Christensen, Gutfreund and Wallace who have also died.

These names are useful for DDP purposes as quite a few will score QOs as unique picks.

Not an obit, a hatches, matches and despatches paid announcement.

EDEN Richard, professor of energy studies at Cambridge University and a founder of Clare Hall, passed away, aged 99, on Saturday 25th September in Poole Hospital after a very short illness. Funeral to be held on Friday October 8th at 2pm at Harbour View Crematorium, Poole.

Lady Mary Anne Denham has died aged 95 apparently, if she's notable.

A summary of Chinese centenarians (those who have Wiki pages)

b. 1915 Ma Shitu, writer and politician. Suffered twice from lung cancer and once from skin cancer, hospitalised in August last year.

*First of a series of boring updates*

Ma Shitu out and about, well enough to stand using a stick, though he is on a wheelchair for long distances. Quite sound of mind too. Considering he is 107 in January, I'd say supercentenarian material.

Oldest person in Greenland, first and only male centenarian in Greenland (and currently only centenarian in Greenland) Anton Geisler got to 102 a few days ago:

https://avannaata.gl/Nyheder/2021/02/22_AnthonGeisler

If he lives 154 days he'll be the oldest person in Greenland ever. Worked in his shop until June 2020.

Anton Geisler didn't get that far, in fact turns out he died on 28th of February 2021 (a week after his birthday and a day after my post) but the gerontology wikia and community only noticed this a couple of days ago.

I'm almost willing to bet that we'll run out out of Chaco War veterans pretty soon- much sooner than the Spanish Civil War veterans.

I think it's best not to make a thread for them as the war wasn't as notable as other wars that have threads and they're all centenarians by now. We've lost a few of them during the last months including the last nurse of the war six days ago.

The surviving four (known) Bolivian chaco war veterans are:

José Pradel Loayza (born in July 1914, 106) Celebrated his 106th in july: pictures.

Samuel Chuquimia Murillo (born in August 1916, 104)

Emeterio Ernesto Talavera Choque (born around 1918, 102) Still looks pretty great

Miguel Siñaniz Vigabriel (born around 1918, 102)

Can't find nearly anything about Paraguayan veterans, but I mentioned Basilio Gonzalez before and this article mentions two others, aged 107 and 106.

https://www.paginasiete.bo/sociedad/2021/7/29/fallece-benemerito-sinaniz-quedan-tres-heroes-del-chaco-302391.html

Miguel Siñaniz Vigabriel died in July. The other three Bolivian chaco war veterans are still alive as far as I know.
